About me
I had always dreamed of being a wildlife photographer and graduated with a wildlife degree in the hopes this would be a stepping stone to that. However, as my view of the world widened, I quickly discovered that what I truly love documenting is people. At the end of the day, it is who you spend your life with that really matters most.
I live in Milford, Maine with my husband, four young children, and menagerie of pets. We are outdoor-enthusiasts and want-to-be homesteaders. I have a Master's of Arts degree in Education, and I was a middle school science teacher for almost a decade. I absolutely LOVE working with children and youth. The way children look at the world with their sense of wonder has always fascinated and energized me.
My experience
I was taking photos for over ten years while I worked full-time as a middle school teacher. As you can imagine, this lends itself to limited availability at many points in the year to take photos. During this time I have still documented thousands of moments for numerous families all over the state. Since leaving teaching in 2021 I launched my business full time and have been so overjoyed with the opportunity to work with so many people.
I photograph a variety of life events, big or small, organized or casual: family, seniors, weddings, maternity, newborn, couples, and many more. My focus is lifestyle photography because of the inherent beauty in those moments but I have a studio option with a client closet, too.
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style" ~Maya Angelou
